The standout additions include Immersive View, providing a 3D street-level perspective for detailed route visualization, and AI-driven Google Maps Search for personalized location recommendations.
The AI-enhanced Google Maps Navigation offers improved lane guidance, real-time traffic updates, and suggestions for alternative routes. Electric vehicle owners will benefit from added information on EV charging stations, including location, charger type, speed, and availability.
The AR feature, now called "Lens in Maps," recognizes and labels objects in the camera view, overlaying augmented reality information and directions. Despite these innovations, users should be mindful of privacy concerns associated with the data collection practices of Google Maps.
